Chairperson: Appointed to the standing committee by the president.

Membership: The committee should have at least six members, consisting of a chairperson and five or more additional members all appointed by the president for at least a one-year term.

Responsibilities: Each committee member will be given 5 or 6 members who they will contact monthly. This can be done by phone, fax or mail, however, it is requested that at least every other month the member be contacted by phone. The reason for this is to touch base with all members on a regular basis, find out what is going on in their lives, and find out if they have any needs or questions. (In doing this, we can get to know each other better, work on team building and also report any happenings to the Secretary for the newsletter.)

The committee will also be asked to be sure new members are welcomed by a card or letter at the time they join and at all meetings.

The committee may also be asked to provide some type of "Icebreaker" at regular meetings.

The Committee Chairman will provide a report to the President before the spring and fall conferences.
